Drive product quality from requirements to release. You’ll design clear test plans, test strategy, and acceptance criteria; run end-to-end manual testing (functional, regression, usability, UAT); file crisp, reproducible bugs; and partner closely with Product/Engineering to ship reliable releases. As the first QA user of our new AI-for-QA tool, you’ll test real QA workflows and bring your lived QA experience—what works, what wastes time, what breaks at scale—to shape requirements, validation strategies, sensible defaults, and UX so the product measurably improves QA efficiency. You’ll also mentor junior QA and continuously improve our QA process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, design specs, user stories to understand what needs to be tested & highlight testability issues.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements (functional, UI/UX, usability).
• Execute manual tests across platforms (web / mobile), including functional, Database, UIT, regression, integration, Performance, exploratory, usability testing.
• Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) with product owners / stakeholders.
• Re-test resolved defects; track defect leakage and help root cause analysis.
• Maintain and update regression test suites.
• Document and report issues clearly: how to reproduce, severity, impact; track through to closure.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, UX/design teams to ensure quality is embedded early.
• Provide feedback to improve design / requirements / usability / performance.
• Mentor junior QA / testers: review their test cases, share best practices.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, workflows.
• Voice of QA: Share practical insights from prior QA roles—pain points, best practices, and anti-patterns—and translate them into requirement updates, guardrails, and time-saving defaults.

Requirements:

• 5+ years manual testing experience in software products.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle.
• Excellent experience in preparing and conditioning test data.
• Experienced in System Testing, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing.
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
• Strong test-case design ability: able to think of edge cases, negative scenarios, usability issues.
• Good SQL skills / database-level validation.
• Familiar with using test management tools (e.g. TestRail, Zephyr) & defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (written + verbal).

Additional Skills:

• Experience with mobile app testing (iOS/Android) + cross-browser testing.
• Basic knowledge of APIs + ability to test APIs manually (e.g. via Postman).
• Exposure to automation or interest in automation collaboration.
• ISTQB or similar QA certification.
• Domain experience (e.g. AI, SaaS etc.).
• Familiarity evaluating AI-assisted QA tools/LLM features.
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted tools (Open AI/Gemini), RAG/document ingestion, or test reporting.
• Past startup or “0→1” product experience.
